THE IRON HEEL BY JACK LONDON

Jack London's novel The Iron Heel was published in 1908.

It tells the story of the rise of a fascist, oligarch tyranny in the United States.

The novel covers the rise of the oligarchy during the years 1912 to 1932.

The Oligarchy maintains power for three centuries.

The oligarchs are the robber barons who bankrupt most small to mid-sized business.

Jack London.

In the novel:

This Oligarchy maintains power through the military, mercenaries and people who have been 'bought', such as some Trade Union leaders.

The oligarchs control the media.

They build up patriotic militias.

They use "agent provocateurs" and false-flag operations to discredit their enemies.

The Iron Heel influenced Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.[4]

Orwell said that Jack London made "a very remarkable prophecy of the rise of Fascism."

If you stand the sub titles this Argentina documentary shows what happens when neoliberalism is given full reign. Neoliberalism is rule by the rich for the rich. All the politicians were corrupt, top trade unions were bought off, and politicians both left and right lied utterly and completely, and then they all got rich off the privatisations, and sell offs of public assets. The rich closed down the factories and asset stripped them, and utility bills shot up. In the end 80% of the population were starving and were drinking filthy water.

The country got out of it when they elected a real social democratic government of the moderate left that really did represent ordinary people, but American vulture funds are now trying to steel all their wealth again. This is how capitalism works when left to the free market without restraint.

Reblogged this one.

Frank L. Baum's Wizard Of Oz was showing us many of the same things.

The Wizard of Oz = the Crown Temple

This is not a mere child’s story written by L. Frank Baum. What symbol does “Oz” stand for? Ounces.Gold What is the yellow brick road? Bricks or ingot bars of gold.

Stock market collapse, asset stripping, vulture funds- just a few ways the "elite" shear the sheep in an endless cyclical process of strip and rebuild, strip and rebuild, carefully controlled in every aspect throughout the entire cycle, penning humanity like animals in an invisible cage where they are stunted, tormented, debased, blinded, allowed only to "progress" for the benefit of the parasitic occultists who have walked next to mankind since the beginning. Their greatest weapon is their hidden knowledge, their deceptions. They can never be defeated until the truth is known. How shall humanity come to know the truth?

A fantastic book. It's available for free online and is highly recommended and relevant today. Try reading Frank Norris's 'McTeague' immediately after reading the Iron Heel. Both writers were contemporaries and Bay Area residents, and both books reinforce each other's points despite their surface level differences. (gold - the lust for it - is a vein that runs thru both books... apropos of Dublin Mick's mention of Oz in his comment above.)

Agreed, a very good book indeed. Just finished it and any fan of 1984 should give it a read. The boot that Orwell pictured stamping down on a human face forever most definitely had a heel of iron. It reminded me of Robert Heinlein's "The moon is a harsh mistress" in that it was an excellent book that had not had a film adaption, lest it give the illiterate masses the wrong kind of ideas.

Humanity can begin to learn the truth when those who know it speak it into existence for those who have yet to learn. It needs to be said over and over and over until it sinks in. Not an easy or a popular job to "wake people up" but those with the knowledge of the truth bear a responsibility to share it. Make sure you do your part (and you too, dear reader).
